Characters of Ketchikan what I do not know
But the mind has a place in water for the seeds that we sow
And I am like a lion sitting on a roof
Counting fiddle masters and feeling quite aloof
Well the Raven touches Eagle to the unity of saints
The story tales of Ketchikan of the quirky and the quaint
Row Row Row your boat gently down the stream
Merrily Merrily Life is but a Dream
Dancing with the raindrops and im feeling lost and found
I drift across the boneyard another body’s down
I sing about Rudolf and I dig her down deep
A place in to eternal sleep
Rest in peace now hands are crossed in prayer
The wind is crying Mary in the windowpane stare
Rudolf the rednosed raindeer had a very shiny nose
and if you ever saw it
You would even say that it glows
Up she goes on a stairway of gold
The treasures of the mountains and Stories untold
Waters falling hard now like buckets of clay
I hear to listen to a summer cloudy day
And we are alone and we are strange
The seasons roll into each other like the wind and rain
Row Row Row your boat gently down the stream
Merrily Merrily Life is But a Dream

My Dear
02:32
|
|||
The mountains are falling back into the sea
the cardinal is calling a song of love to me
the night time has wings and a lonesome kind of heart and the
sun is going down and when it rises we shall part
chours
your face i cant remember and your eyes are not so clear
but the letters from a sender make you so lovely my dear
I cannot tell what i am writing or if you can hear a word
I tell you right now that the feelings’ quite absurd
Ive got a tendency to ramble and a tendency to light
Aversion towards anger and complaining about sight
But I will keep on writing until my song is through
whether it be orange, yellow or a purplish blue
chorus
Now the clouds are hanging low over islands of rain
And i am dreaming into my hearts gentle pain
Screaming silent raven like a bird she goes on free
I can see so clear now you know you know just what i mean

Sun you stand so still and quietly
Winter holds her sway so violently
Icicles melting drip by drop Icically
Dandelion shine so vibrantly
Pencil you write so eloquently
Commentary commentary commentary oh
x2-3
Moon you dangle low and solemnly
Trees you sleep and dream so wisely
Mountains consistantly creeping
Ocean she rages while she’s weeping
World you dance so completely

99 Greens to Ireland
Molly Mae and Adrian
Flag decals of your broken roads
Photographs of Icicles
Rolling down to Hickory
Loch that is changing Keys
Talking to Louisiana
She keeps reminding me
Mandolin plays the blues guitar
The saxophone plays the strings
I cannot forget saint Mercury
or his heels of the messenger wings
I will fly with California
Sail to the Rainbows End
Sit upon my rock of Air
The letters for to send
I paint a flower with a hammer
Drive to a distant place
Where gold and silver coincide
and the guns are shooting lace
The radio sings a lullaby
The blues are colored red
I close my eyes and fall away
Catching thoughts outside my head
Seventeen is a number
At least that is what they say
Patience rolls like thunder clouds
All changing every day
I do not talk in numbers
I cannot feel this land
Inside this house
All the walls are made of sand
Radio sings a lullaby
Saxophone plays the wheels
I close my eyes and I fall away
Feel the wings upon my heels

Skin and Glass

Ophelia is crying
with the rise of Pontchartrain
The wind and the waters howling
of a story about Annie Fein
She laughs about the tragedy
and she cries about the moon
Daydreaming in melodies
bells of fire in her womb
Across the world she travels
Searching for the door
To open into mastery
Arising from the war
Like an angel sounding miracles
all the people they come to see
What Ophelia has mastered
Annie Fein has come to be
its everything shes wanted and
nothing she did seek
Was right inside her pocket by
the fires of mozambique
Annie Fein and Ophelia
stand together at the gate
One of skin and one of glass
both sleeping and awake
into eyes they stare for hours
but the time it does not pass
they seem to know the difference
between the skin and glass
On two feet they walk alone
Taking in consideration
What everyone is thinking and how the stars make
constellations
Celebrating miracles and tragedies alike
Dance round and round the water
Lightning sounds the thunder strikes
Magic turns to black and gold
coloring the sun
I am twirling into emeralds and the two souls turn to one
Annie Fein she is laughing as she sails on biscayne bay
While ophelia sings her poetry in the most peculiar way
Annie Fein and Ophelia
Are united once again
to bless these tragic miracles
One of glass and one of skin

Diamond Road

the wind oh the wind is mumbling again
i stand like a tree
i want to go home though i have never been before
i am falling and crawling on my knees
and you were standing there all dressed in blue and white
like the wind had reached her end
i am following the days into the night
well the story came to bend
(chorus)
i cannot put my finger on it
i cannot find out where
i saw the road had diamonds on it
and i saw you standing there
i am turning into music and i disappear
like a train sound in the distance
blessed be the way that is becoming so clear
i shall give you no resistance
i wonder do i know what lies before me
i am thinking about the past
ancestors are myself and thee
and i am speaking of the message they cast
chorus
passionately staring with quiet eyes
pacing as the stones reply
you have not thought of everything you have not known it all
for everything and all of it have seen the standing wall
i walk along onto this trepid line
colors all gray and green
momentary lapse of wandering
all of my thoughts to be seen
it has been 1000
since we danced upon the moon
you drank up all my salty tears
and caught the stars with a spoon
i had me a waking the other night
all the trees turned into hands
the sky was on fire just a memory of time
curiosity helps me to stand
chorus

Utah Green Asheville, North Carolina
Each song is different and stands on its own, but can be generally categorized as funny and quirky, complex, emotional, and
reflective. There is wonderful imagery in her poetry that stimulates one's imagination and it can be very moving in a positive sense. It is sometimes a challenge to capture and comprehend the multiple meanings of some of her verse, but it's worth the effort.
